Aalto University Archives Finna invites you to explore the history, achievements, stories and student life in science, art, technology and business education. The collections include images documenting the activities of Aalto University, visual materials and objects related to teaching, diploma works and student projects. The earliest materials are from late 19th century so in Finna you can find materials from Aalto University's predecessors University of Technology, Helsinki School of Economics and the University of Art and Design.
Using the archive material
Original archival materials are available at Aalto University archives. Only a small proportion is available digitally with Finna. You can view the complete collection catalogues on our website.
Use permissions are displayed alongside each image, for instance the majority of the historic photographs are freely usable with an open license CC-BY 4.0.
